Named after the one who walks the herd to pasture
Charwaha means herder — the person who takes the cattle out to graze at sunrise and brings them home at sunset. It's an old word for an old way of farming, and it's what we've been doing outside Islamabad since 2012.
Our cows graze freely on open pasture in Rawat. They're never caged and never rushed. No feedlots, no shortcuts — just grass, clean water, and time. It's slower this way, but we think that's the point.
What started as one family's small herd has grown into something bigger, but the promise hasn't changed. Every day, we bring fresh organic milk, desi eggs, homemade yogurt and farm cheese to families across Islamabad and Rawalpindi, from animals we know by name.
